Efracea is a type of oral medication that commonly comes in the form of capsules that is taken to treat Rosacea. Inside this medication is a low dose of an active substance known as Doxycycline. How to use

You should take this medication on an empty stomach with a full glass of water, no food. Preferably you should take it one hour before eating or two hours following your meal. You should never crush the tablets and avoid taking them within a close time frame of milk or antacids, as this can decrease the effectiveness of the medication.

  • Diabetes or blood-thinning medication. Your doctor may have to change your dose.
  • For women who are taking the contraceptive pill, its effectiveness might be reduced.

If you take any products, supplements, or medication containing calcium, aluminum, sucralfate, iron, magnesium , bismuth, activated charcoal, and cholestyramine, speak to your doctor first. Taking these at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of Efracea.
