A US postal worker stole erectile dysfunction medication from packages intended for war veterans.
The thief, Jeff Yardley, confessed the crime to his wife, who then turned him over to police in Indianapolis. As well as taking the Cialis (which he used for an affair), Yardley also took prescription pain killers, which he then sold to make an extra income.
His wife Donna said she was “devastated” when she found out what was going on. The couple had been married for 22 years. She told Fox News: “If somebody had told me three weeks ago that Jeff Yardley was doing this I would have told them they were a liar.”
She added: “I have an active duty son. I have a son that's serving over in Italy in the Navy. In fact his wife and children are in Japan right now and it just feels like he stole from my son.”
Cialis is the second most popular erectile dysfunction treatment available, and is not far away from Viagra in terms of recent sales. It allows men with erectile dysfunction to treat their condition for up to 36 hours.
Cialis, Levitra and Viagra are the only medicines approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Celebrity backers of these medications have included ex-US Presidential candidate Bob Hope and the Brazilian soccer legend, Pele.
