Who is suitable to use Cilest?
The Cilest contraceptive pill can be used by the majority of women who seek a long-term reliable method of birth control. It is available for women aged 18 and above, although you can not use Cilest if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

When can I start taking Cilest?

Cerazette comes in a calendar pack marked with days of the week to help you remember to take you next pill. A pill must be taken daily for three weeks, followed by a one-week break.
It's also acceptable to start taking this pill at any other time in your menstrual cycle if you know for sure that you are not pregnant. However, taking Cilest any later than day one of your period requires you to use additional contraception for the first seven days of pill taking.
What happens if I miss a pill?
To continue to prevent pregnancy after missing a pill you should take the pill as soon as you can, then continue taking the rest of the pack as normal.
If you forget to take two or more pills, or start your new pack two or more days later than scheduled, Cilest may not provide you with full protection. Take the last pill you missed as soon as possible and then continue to take your pills as usual. It's strongly recommended that you avoid having intercourse, or use a condom during sex, for the next seven days.
Are there side effects?
